Christmas in Cebu

This is our parol (PAH-roll), or "Christmas lantern". We will probably give it to one of our team members, because getting it back home would be a problem. They are a Philippine tradition, but one that is being replaced by flashing lights and LED's. Ah well, such is progress.

"Lechon" is the word for barbequed pig-on-a-stick, available on every street corner. This one is what I like to call a "vegetarian lechon", since it's actually a loaf of bread baked in the shape of a lechon pig. To get a better view click on the picture.

This is a regular window in our "pantry", or lunch area. The team cut colored vellum and taped it to a cardboard backpiece. There is so much talent here!

The gifts below were given out at our Christmas party. The Grand Prize is the clothes washing machine on the left.

Our company does a great job in promoting the Christmas spirit. This year’s Christmas party was presaged by a competition between teams to show the different ways that Christmas is celebrated in each of our global regions. The pictures above show some of the project our EMEA team was assigned – Christmas in Cebu!
