Well, I know Superbowl was several weeks ago, but we haven’t had a chance between then and now to update the blog; things have been very busy at work.
The Cardinals gave it a good run. Sharon and I are proud of our team – they gave it one heck of a good shot. And as we’ve gotten used to saying with the post-2001 Diamondbacks: Wait till next year!
We watched the game from our hotel in Cebu City, here on the island of Cebu in the Philippines. Since the International Dateline gets in the way, watching the game “live” meant we had to be up and sitting in the hotel lobby at 07:00 a.m., Monday morning. Thinking of nachos and Buffalo Wings at seven in the morning is a bit unusual. We’ve included a picture of the Superbowl announcement and the menu at the Marriott. Make sure you take the time to read the menu; that’s what we had available for munchies.
Another odd thing about that game was that we did not have Al Michaels and John Madden announcing. I don’t remember their names, but let’s just say they were not Varsity. Maybe not even Junior Varsity. And we did NOT get the commercials we all look forward to, either. As a matter of fact we saw the same three commercials about a boxing match over and over, for the whole game… But overall, we ended up having a great time. Wait till next year!
